In these days the workers of the Union of Casentino Mountain Municipalities are undergoing restoration of the tanks located above the Casanova Refuge in the Casentino Forests National Park. The two tanks were originally built for water supply to the nursery designed for the reforestation of the area. Given the breadth and capacity (around 10 meters wide, 6 meters long and 1 meter deep), the two tanks can also be used as fire-fighting stores. They are an ideal breeding site environments for the Triton.
